What if Sonic had died instead of Shadow in order to save the Earth from the Ark's crash landing? As the two begin to get to know each other on a more personal level, feelings for one another begin to bloom, causing a world of internal confusion. Shadow-wanting to keep it professional-with Amy conflicted about her feelings for Sonic. Will the two end up confessing to one another? This is I Can't Breathe Without You.

Shadow has been acting strange after his last visit with the psychiatrist that he forcefully accepted by order of G.U.N as a treatment for his agents so that they are mentally well after each mission. After that session a part of him that has been repressed finally comes out of his mental prison on that full moon releasing that part of him that he has always loved to a certain pink hedgehog from the beginning.
