Based after the events of Avengers 4. After Doctor Stephen Strange first made contact with Tony Stark, something about him changed. Slowly he realised he was falling madly in love with the engineer and had to hide it as best he could. He couldn't tell him as Tony's wife divorced him shortly after the heroes arrived back from their horrifying journey. Everything for Tony was going downhill, and Stephen had to fix it.
