Louis is a village boy captured in a raid. Saved from the dungeon by the Queen, who thinks he'll be a good friend for her son and teach him to appreciate life, Louis finds himself the companion of Harry, Prince of England. The thing is, they hate each other. Harry thinks Louis is scum, unworthy of his time. He is a prince after all, and Louis is just a lowly peasant. Louis thinks Harry is a spoiled brat, unfit to be a prince. They have nothing in common, except that they're both lonely. Will they be able to find friendship?

Louis is in love with his best friend Harry, but Harry is straight and only thinks of him as a friend. So one day, Louis makes a wish that he could be a girl so Harry would notice him, AND IT COMES TRUE!!! In order to turn back into his normal self, Louis must learn the trials and tribulations of being a woman before the sun sets on the last day of the year, and it's only 4 months away. So who does he have to help him? A food-crazed fairy and his old ex girlfriend. Can Louis manage it? And more importantly, can he get Harry to fall in love with him?

Detention is supposed to be a punishment, but for Louis and Harry, it's the start of something beautiful. Unfortunately, what starts off as a harmless love affair quickly takes a turn for the worse. Through all the stereotypes, judgments, family issues, and demons from the past, Louis and Harry struggle to stay strong. What happens in detention, stays in detention.
