***First in The Ghost Warrior Series*** Little Legolas and Thranduil are in Imladris for meetings to discuss the growing darkness in Middle-Earth. Within two days of being there, an elleth is attacked and a note is left behind that details a threat towards someone, who ends up being the Prince later on when another note is found. Trust begins to diminish, especially when Legolas is attacked by a mysterious warrior. Just days afterwards he is kidnapped and thus begins the search for the missing Prince. It's a race against time to see if they can reach Legolas before his demise and stop the Ghost Warrior's plans, and if not, then to witness the ending of their hope. For without the Greenleaf, there is a piece of the future that will be forever lost and can change it's course for good.

After a failed spider mission, Legolas is left injured beyond what the Greenwood healers can help. Thranduil, worried for his son's Fea, sends him to Imladris for help. But the unit escorting the prince is attacked on the way and Legolas, after barely escaping, then fleas to the most unlikely of places where he hides, refusing to tell anyone of his whereabouts, afraid to go to Imladris, afraid to go home. This story fills in some gaps from The Return and creates a few more that I may delve into in a later fic. Legolas is the equivalent of a 15 year old human, making him around 100. His father, Thranduil, blames his son for the death of his wife (in this story she died in child birth) and beats his son every day in punishment. Aragorn (Estel) was raised by elves in Rivendell, where such cruelty would never be tolerated. He is currently aged 20. When he is sent to Mirkwood as a representative of Lord Elrond, he accidentally discovers the hardships of the prince's life. But will Estel be able to rescue Legolas?
