That's all they needed. But it wouldn't be long until they'd try a betrayal. He wasn't a violent man, Weasel wouldn't fit in. After the prison escape, they'd kill him. But a change of plans happened when the universe changed. The cycle had been broken when the gang shot Sal instead of Al. Portals stood before them, three of them. They left, leaving Sal to bleed to death in purgatory. This is but an alternative to the original ending to Mob of the Dead. To understand the book better, I'd suggest looking into the game itself if you haven't already.
