Olivia has always felt like an outsider, having been given away at birth and raised by a loving adoptive family. Throughout her life, she finds solace and friendship in her best friend, Freya. Despite being inseparable, Olivia has always struggled with her self-image. Unlike the "ordinary skinny girls," Olivia embraces her curvy figure but feels uncomfortable in her skin. She hides her shape beneath baggy clothes and adopts a tomboyish style, always striving to be modest in her attire.
Their lifelong bond continues as they both enter college after graduating high school. Unfortunately, fate deals them a disappointing hand when they learn that they won't be able to room together. However, they find solace in the fact that they are still next-door neighbors. Olivia is paired with a roommate, Stacy, who is an extreme party-goer and brings a vibrant energy into Olivia's life.
They soon realize being friends with Joan means you party whether you like it or not. They knew they were going to meet new friends and have the times of their lives. Especially when Olivia meets Ray.
Ray is a troubled college boy whose rebellious behavior is evident and very alluring. Will Olivia make it out of college with her heart intact or will Ray's rebellious ways consume her?
