Because it wasn't. It was far more sinister. Yes, there was a prince. Yes, he was cursed. Yes, there was only one who could break half the curse. But the beast the Prince had become wasn't the one they portrayed in that classic fairytale. He was much much more. And the breaker of the curse? Well she was the one he wanted to keep. The one that could bring the Prince back. But that curse was never broken. No. That curse, as they like to put it, was never meant to be broken. It was meant to be the beginning of a new species.
