The giant race was suddenly being slaughtered, left and right, and was not in their nature to fight back no matter what they told humans. They were passive creatures, who didn't want to hurt anyone. But the humans were blinded by fear. Conrad was on his daily patrol, keeping an eye for any giants deciding to try and sneak up on the small village. But when he found a certain young child...perhaps things begin to change.

Middle-aged Eli Birch is worried. He's starting a new job that he isn't completely sure he's up for. In a world divided between giants and humans, he's just trying to get by and provide for his only son as a single parent. Working as a doctor, he's desperate for a job after an attempt to save a life gets him fired. Thankfully, he did find a job...at a government facility for what are pretty much giant inmates. Great. Can Eli survive long enough to prove to himself he can do this? Can he help those that need him most? ...and possibly discover other things he'd never known before?

The second Part of 'Giant Country'. Simon the Brave, along with 200 other champions, each dedicated to a god of one of the four participating Clans: (Greek, English, Norse, Egyptian,) must undergo 3 hellish Trials, each decided upon by all the gods on a basis of extreme difficulty, and, if he survives them, he must then answer three riddles that stump even gods. One catch... if he fails, his entire clan will be destroyed in a rain of fire, followed by an ice age. No pressure.

A boy leaves home to become a man, and discovers that the world is not so small as he thought. Or perhaps, from a different perspective, much smaller indeed.
