In High School, Peridot's only concerns were grades and getting out of that Hell Hole ASAP. She had been tormented by bullies all of her life, so hated everyone as a default setting. By her Senior year, however, a newbie freshman named Steven got her to open up a bit and she actually gained a few friends right before graduation. Now she was going to college, and she was ecstatic.
