We all know what happened to Varian in the first season of "Tangled: The Series." He became the villain, was defeated by Rapunzel, and thrown into prison for a whole year. Yes, he redeemed himself and returned for the third season, but the lack of his presence was felt by fans everywhere throughout the entire second season of the show. So what would have happened if he had redeemed himself sooner and been there for the gang's life-changing journey throughout the second season? How would he have reacted to all those adventures he missed? Find out in this AU fanfic! You will see how he deals with his still-suspicious friends, his unrequited crush on Cassandra, and his search for a way to free his father. "Next stop, anywhere!" (Note: All rights go to Disney. Some of my favorite love stories is when two people marry complete strangers, so I decided to make one. Disclaimer: I do not own Tangled. Cover by me. (I used clippings from series and then went over Varian's clothes) This is gonna be a shorter story, but it's main plot is Cassarian.

"I love you..Cass..more than you'll ever know.." The black haired male said, as he stepped forward. The black rocks rised beside him as he continued to walk forward. His teal streak glowing a light blue. "I love you too Varian.. but.. you shouldn't have come, I'm too dangerous." Cassandra mumbled quietly. Stepping further back away from the boy heading towards her. "No.. no I don't believe that you are." Varian walked up to Cass until he was inches from her. "Please, Cass.." Cassandra looked at Varian, her eyes shimmering with tears. Her face then hardened as she clenched her hands into fists, turning away from the blue eyed boy and walked away. "Cass.. no, wait!" His voice was fading, as was Cass slowly fading into he darkness.. Leaving Varian feeling more alone then ever before.

"Now it's time to stand up and there's only one answer for me." Varian is now the new King of Corona. His hatred towards the said kingdom had grown from the past few years and he's back. Taking everything that Rapunzel once loved before. Note: The main ship is New Dream and Cassarian. A huge credit to Liz.Potent for art the I used on the book cover.
