Mario and Meggy have won a competition and as an award, have gotten two tickets to an amusement park...IN SPACE! It was another day in the SMG4 world, when SMG4 accidentally activates a portal on his computer, which leads to the real world.

Alternate title: SMG4 Mario X Meggy: Welcome New Galaxy Mario and Meggy's date during the Star Festival gets interrupted by SMG3 and Desti. They tie up Mario and Meggy and put them in a cannon, shooting them into space. The couple now has to stop the bad guys from taking over the now-stolen Mushroom Kingdom. They just have to get Power Stars first.

The Star Festival returns, and Mario and Meggy are having a good time, but SMG3 and Desti have returned again, now supersized, thanks to the power of the Stars they stole. They kidnapped all of their Inkling friends, so now it's up to Mario and Meggy again to save them and the world, but they have many more Power Stars to collect first.
