James has been comatose for five months. His big sister, Maya, watches each day from a chair in the corner, waiting for the day he'll wake up again. Their family has long since stopped visiting. The doctors and nurses gently urge her to consider letting him go, but she can't make herself do it. She'd rather sit and wilt, like a clipped flower. If the world has to move on without him, it'll have to do it without her, too. As the last droplets of hope begin to dry up, she is visited by a mysterious man with a solution.
