In the aftermath of another attack on her colony, Royal Commander Grex needs options. Without taking the war to her enemy, she risks her own nest being overrun - and if her Queen dies, her colony won't be far behind. But a chance has come,a unique one. A shooting star, sent from another world, with everything she'd need to win the war. Grex is presented with a choice: continue a war of attrition that will only lead to drawn-out bloodshed, or ally with these unknown 'Ambassadors', and possibly bring a swift victory. Warning: contains some pretty bloody scenes.

They got away with it, right under their nose. When they took Tam, she never could have guessed what was in store. When Sophie and Linh found him he was centimeters from death, the basic privilege of walking striped away. The group thought they were done with the shadows but they had no idea what was still lurking. In this Kotlc fanfiction, which takes place after the events of Flashback, their past guides there future. But that past, is full of blank spots. *exits depressing author state* Hi! Just a warning; this is a really sad and dark story. There are happy parts, sure, but this thing is heavier than an elephant. It is still intriguing, just be warned. I hope that I I didn't drive you away from the story though! 😁 This fanfic also has a LOT of ship stuff in it. Mainly: Tiana, Lylie, and (don't hurt me) Sophitz. I co-write this with a friend, whom of which I will call Mr.Snuggles for identity concealment purposes (plus that's their nickname). If I get stuck I'll ask for help. If your still here, enjoy the Fan Fic! (Btw there are some chapters with no break between paragraphs, but I'm currently going through and fixing those.) Sorry the cover isnt that great, it had some issues with exportation so I just had to make shift with what worked. One more thing: The indent on my wattpad is a bit spotty. So some chapters the paragraphs will be indented and in others they wont. Sorry about that. But I still hope you enjoy! *All charters, places, etc belong to Shannon Messenger and Simon and Shuster.*

I looked at the patch of upturned ground in front of me. It was still new, and no flowers were in sight. The grave was simple; an ordinary headstone marked it, the only thing etched on the stone being a few, straightforward words. SEBASTIAN "BLACKHAWK" FOULKE 1969-1995 Beloved comrade and brother. "... Is this why you chose to be a mercenary?" Cipher's voice made me look away from the headstone and to him, standing just a few feet away. I hadn't heard him coming. I would've preferred some alone time, but I probably wouldn't mind a bit of company. I shrugged. "Yeah. I can't leave Blackhawk hanging. Also, Belka was getting too regimented for my taste." "I didn't know he was your brother." "Yeah. Wished you got to meet him." Cipher gave a nonchalant hum, turning to stare towards the north-western horizon. To other people, it might seem like he was staring at the setting sun, but I knew better. Somewhere, hidden by the mountain ranges, was a lifeless land decimated by the flames of war, where an entire nation was killed in the span of days. Once, it was known as Nostrand. After what happened a few months ago, it was nothing but history. That country was why I fought against my home country. ... A sneak-peek into the Belkan War through the eyes of an ace. How two unlikely friends bonded, and how a war tore apart millions of lives. *cross-posted on ao3 and fanfiction.net
