There is irreparable destruction and the various races are still struggling to recover. Now together again after a hundred years, Link and Zelda have more ahead of them than ever before. The country needs a guiding hand, and as the sole remaining member of the royal family, that task falls on Princess Zelda. However, there is something new in the relationship between the princess and her knight, something neither one of them were willing to admit before the Calamity. Link, Chosen Hero of the Gods, having saved Hyrule from the threats of Zant and Ganondorf finds that his return to his once rustic and beloved lifestyle in Ordon is more than underwhelming. The Hylian then seeks out a more heroic living and chooses to become a knight under the newly coronated Queen Zelda. Five years pass peacefully and the Kingdom of Hyrule prospers. However, the day comes where a single Dark Arrow ignites a series of events that threatens this fragile peace as it allows darkness to return to the land. The source seems to be from far beyond Hyrule's borders and this new threat just so happens to coincide with the arrival of strangers from the neighbouring kingdom of Noruidia. It would seem that in order to save Hyrule and to ensure the safety of his queen, Link must prove that his spirit is stronger than being either a hero or knight... even if it costs him his life. A retelling of events leading up to Breath of the Wild attempting to fill in some of the gaps and better explain the unanswered questions.

Zelda and Link have defeated Calamity Ganon and are now free to go their own way. However, it is hard to get to grips with their past, which can get in the way of their present. And as if that isn't hard enough, there seems to be a new threat that they will need to face. **This story takes place directly after Breath of the Wild and has no link to Tears of the Kingdom.

We know Link's story throughout all the games, but there are still many missing pieces that only the power of the goddess can bring to us. In the eyes of young Zelda, all will be revealed. The Silent Princess will speak with her wisdom of what she has seen over the span of the 100 years she has been fighting. *credit for characters, music, images, some dialogue, and other things I may use or quote from Nintendo belongs to them, not me. The same goes for any other images and music from different artists. *All I claim rights on is the idea of this and the other parts that solely come from my own imagination and outlook of the story from Breath of the Wild and a few of the other featured games mentioned.

Immediantly after the Great Calamity was brought to an end, the hylian champion Link had gone into hiding to avoid the questions on everyone around him. After a month in solitude, Link begins to feel trapped and eventually planned out a way to take his own life. However, the day of his final plans, the Princess calls him to the castle for an emergency, having discovered something truly horrific lying within the catacombs of the Castle. (This Fic was originally something different, but after the first trailer for the Sequel, I had to write out my suspicions and theories.)

For her 13th birthday the princess of Hyrule was gifted the Sheikah slate, the latest development in the research of the Sheikah technology. The same night, she vanished without a trace. Three years later, Princess Zelda returns. However, she returns in disguise, as she is warned by the Great Deku Tree of a evil in the castle. Once inside the walls of Hyrule Castle, she finds that there is someone is in her place. Who is she? Why is she here? The false princess looks almost exactly like her, and the triforce symbol on her hand proves her to be the princess. However, Zelda is determined to prove herself the true princess of Hyrule. She gets closer to the "princess", and befriends her appointed knight, Link, who wields the sword that seals the darkness. The threat of the Calamity is looming on the horizon, and Zelda is required to access her sealing power, but how will she access it while hiding her true identity? With the kingdom growing more and more agitated, will Zelda prove herself the true princess, harness her power, and save her kingdom before the end of it all?
