"Times Of Tempest and Greed" is a historical fiction (with elements of historical fantasy) short story set in Belgium in 1909, that follows the life of Theodore Marteens, a newspaper vendor, turned revolutionist, who preaches the works and ideas of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, dreaming of the foundation of a Belgian autocratic state, post-monarchy. Due to the vast amount of resources being poured into Belgium's colonies, the angst of the Belgian populace is growing, causing the rise of the BWP (Belgian Workers' Party). In addition to that, his lover, Clara Maria Klein, is the Princess's lady-in-waiting, that's being confined to the royal palace, unable to return home.
Not only does he have to formulate and devise a plan to return her home safely, but he also has to deal with the political repercussions of his endeavours and friendships.
