Sanem is a young, sheltered girl with a photographic memory, a quick wit, a wild spirit with a desire to break out of her traditional way of life. Her greatest desire is to move to the Galapagos and write her love stories. The series has taken us through every trial and obstacle imaginable. The lastest being a terrifying car crash that has left Can without his memory and Sanem alone in the epic love they shared. Now, afraid for her sanity, she is leaving Istanbul behind and going to live her dreams in the Galapagos. Will Can let her go and continue his life free of the memories they shared or does his heart call him into action regardless of what his mind can remember. Will love conquer all, after all?

While trying to expose one of the biggest political scandal in Turkey, Can is framed for homicide. Sanem is given the case to gather evidence for an apparently guilty suspect. Once Can and Sanem's worlds collide, nothing will ever be the same again. This is an AU story of Erkenci Kus.The characters are not exactly the same as the show but certain aspects of their personalities are kept. But both must find a significant other if they are to succeed in their business ventures. A contract for a temporary marriage seems like the ideal solution - they help each other reach their business goals, and move on. Nothing personal, just a professional contract between two consenting adults. Yes, there would be rules. No, there would be no strings attached. What could go wrong, right?

I had an idea hit me... and, as desperately as I want to finish Keşke, I just had to at least start this AU piece. It's basically just flipping Can and Sanem's characters, all others the same except substituting Yigit for Polen. (So, Yigit is to Sanem what Polen was to Can)- I have no idea if I'll be able to pull this off though... Character development is not my strong suit which is why I'm comfortable with fanfiction. I can use other, already established characters. 😉 but this AU might be doable for me as I have the character base still pretty much defined for me. Thought it would be a nice way for me to ease into more original storytelling. We'll see I guess! 😋

Ok, on the EK for English Speakers Facebook group, I posted a short snippet in reaction to the end of episode 41 where it ends with Can going into the fire. I'm copying it here and am working on expanding it a bit further beyond just our two star crossed lovers.
