(VOL.1 NOW COMPLETE; VOL.2 COMING IN WINTER 2025) If you're tired of Potter twin cliches, then this book is for you. Stolen away on the night her parents died, Mary grew up as the problem child of an incompetent Muggle couple. She knows she is different, that much is evident from people's reactions to the things she can do. But when Mary is thrown into a world where magic is real, she will soon discover that being haunted by the ghosts of her parents and being driven up the wall by a man who claims to be her mother's friend is the least of her concerns. Something lurks in the dark recesses of her mind. Something that has been trapped in the shadows for far too long. Something evil that wants to break out. Albus Dumbledore cannot help but take a special interest in the little girl in whom he sees his dead sister - especially because history may be repeating itself...for the third time. He fears that Mary bears the curse of the Dumbledores: an Obscurus that threatens the very foundation of Hogwarts. This is a sequel! To avoid spoilers to Star of Gryffindor, please read that before reading this! Astra Lewis and Albus and James Potter are back at Hogwarts, this time for a (hopefully) much less dangerous year. But after Wren Predatels's shocking betrayal, Astra is having a hard time. Albus and James seemed to have moved on all right, but for Astra, it's different. It's a very hard thing to find out your first and closest friend was never really there for you. Not to mention all the changes going on. With a new Ministry-appointed headmaster, things are being run a bit differently. There's a clingy, annoying first year who instantly latches onto Astra, but gets sorted into the wrong House. And, Astra's nightmares are getting worse, driving her roommates insane. Not to mention the strange new girl, a transfer from Beauxbatons, who not only seems mysterious, but is apparently interested in the Dark Arts. All of this pales in comparison to the attempts to kidnap James. Astra and her friends are wary of everything now, but somehow, someone is slipping past their defenses... There were some things in life that even magic couldn't heal and for Zakari Ollivander, being deaf was not something that he wanted to be "healed" of anyways. Never considering himself disabled, Zakari considered himself just to be slightly different growing up. He still enjoyed partaking in activities that other children his age were involved in, even if he had to find his own way to do them. It was a challenge sometimes, but Zakari was always up for a challenge. As the grandson of a famous wandmaker, Zakari's biggest challenge yet would come to the young boy when he receives his acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Without knowing him, people were quick to pass their judgement, believing the boy would struggle and calling it a waste of time trying to teach magic to a boy who couldn't hear and hardly spoke. However, Zakari sets himself out to prove that just because he was hard of hearing, didn't mean he didn't have anything to say. It was everyone else around him that needed to learn how to listen.
