This story is written in the perspective of our main character, Sophie, who is an exchange student from France, going to Blackwell high. While attending Blackwell, she meets a young man named Nathan Prescott, who at the time, is a distant and moody boy who's bullied because his parents are known for taking jobs from some of the students parents, and for buying the coach off so Nathan can join the football team. She grows acquainted with him, wondering if their relationship could possibly go beyond just friends. Pricefield AU where Max grew up in Seattle and never met Chloe until high school. Blackwell has dual dorms and they got partnered up as dorm buddies. At first, she can't stand her roommate but Max soon falls for the rough and rowdy punk youth but must keep her feelings to herself since Chloe is in a relationship with a not so faithful Rachael Amber. Warren Graham, a boy Max thought to be 'just a friend', seems to want something that's clearly not there. Torn between being honest with her friend and herself, Max must make a difficult decision. Risk losing the one she loves, or gain some potentially dangerous enemies.

Dual POV This story starts off right after Max made the choice to sacrifice Arcadia Bay, leaving only her and Chloe as survivors. Without anywhere else to go, the duo hit the open road, desperate to run away from their past. Life is hard, and over the next few years, the weight of their consequences slowly start to affect her and Chloe's lives mentally and emotionally. Although she still has her powers, Max promised Chloe never to use them, but that doesn't stop the brunette from slipping up, especially when true danger presents itself which is more often than not.
