Merlin is attacked and won't tell Arthur anything. Arthur likes Merlin, his hand servant for almost 2 years, it breaks his heart to see Merlin this beat up and hurt. Arthur is trying to do whatever he can to forward his relationship with Merlin, while he tries to find out and understand what happened to his brunette servant. Merlin is Prince of Ealdor. Uther and Ygraine rulers of Camelot have invited Merlin to their kingdom for the first time in years. They invite him in the hopes that Arthur and Merlin will fall in love and their betrothal to bring the two kingdoms together will finally be fulfilled. There's only one problem...Arthur and Merlin don't know about the betrothal.

(Set in present time) Merlin pulled his bulky warm coat around him as the autumn wind whipped around him, slicing through his clothes like daggers. Red and orange leaves littered the ground, staining the green grass in the park. He didn't know why he was at the park at seven o clock in the morning but he woke up in a sweat, terrified from a nightmare he couldn't remember, and had a sudden...urge?... To go to the park.
