Nero, just a small, fragile child. He watched his father and uncle fight and it got very violent. He got scared and didn't know what to do, so he shut himself out from the real world and into a world of his own. His father and uncle are scared, hoping he will wake up, but it's up to Nero if he wants to wake up or not.

The final battle, Dante VS Vergil, one will walk away from this. Dante is sustaining a lot of injuries and Vergil is exhausting him. Eventually, the younger twin can't go on and falls to his knees, ready for the ending blow. Vergil raises his sword but the next thing he knows, everything is white and then Dante is sitting before Vergil, but now he's no older than 1. Vergil, not being able to bring himself to kill Dante, takes the baby home.

For years Vergil's soul has been burning as he wonder aimlessly in hell with nothing but his pain and regret. But all of this ends thanks to the will of his mother Vergil's may get his second chance

Nero is back home and recovering from his broken leg. Summer school is over and the regular term has started, luckily Nero doesn't have to go back till his leg is healed. And with his leg having to be in the cast for 8 weeks, Nero has plenty of time to work out all his problems, and this time he is going to have his father help him through it.

Nero starts having nightmares, even wetting the bed occasionally. Nero tries to hide this but Vergil finds out. Vergil isn't mad or teases Nero, but Nero has a feeling his uncle Dante will tease him. As he tries to deal with the nightmares and bed wetting, he has to hide this from his uncle Dante.

Vergil gets turned into a toddler, leaving no one to take care of him but Dante. Dante takes him in happily, eager to torment him.

Nero is fed up with everything. He's failing all his classes, his girlfriend left him, people are always starting fights with him at school, and his dad always treats him like a baby. Tired of it all, Nero runs away, leaving Vergil devastated that his son would run away. Now Vergil is trying to find his son and Nero is trying to avoid him and everyone, except one person. He has 3 options: Go back home, try and make it on his own, or go to his uncle, Dante.

Nero tends to piss off Dante and Trish and when Nero accidentally destroys Trish's clothes in a laundry accident, she uses her demon powers to turn Nero into a 1-year-old and leaves Dante to take care of him.

One night a terminally ill woman comes to the Devil may cry doorsteps and leaves nero her son How does this baby help dante dilemma with his family is this baby just a coincidence is it just that the kid mother just so happen to leave her son at the doorsteps or does it go down to a deeper meaning. And does it connect to the one family member that succumbed to the darkness
