Tamsen Lanning leads a perfectly normal, just out of college life until one day when she arrives home to find that her father has killed her mother and then himself, or so the note says. Not satisfied with this version of events and convinced that her father would never do this, Tam begins to investigate their deaths. Trying to balance taking care of her young sister Gwen, mourning over the loss of her parents, and this new role of detective, Tam unknowingly puts herself, and those she most loves, in terrible danger.
