This is a collection of my sad poetry I've accumulated over the years. I hope that those who read this can relate in some way. My sincerest hope is that it helps people feel less alone. I do not wish to make anyone feel worse than they already are. My poetry at times (not always) can be pretty deep and depressing. Each of them are different so if you don't like one, just skip to the next. Enjoy! Highest Rankings #12 in rhyming (3.65K) #291 in poems (81.9K)

Sandpaper is scratchy and rough, and when I thought about my poetry, I realized it's just that. It's rough, it's not the best you've ever seen, but doing this has helped polish not only my writing skills but my own self as well, just as sandpaper polishes wood. I wrote these poems from around 2014 until 2022. Each reader will take something different out of each piece, whether for the better or worse. This book as a whole is not me entirely, but these poems are small glimpses of my thoughts and experiences over the course of many years. I could've written a journal, or nonfiction, but I just always felt inclined towards poetry. I am an artist and a musician at heart, after all. But even when the chords aren't played or the songs aren't sung, the passion will always live on.

"Give me ten days, and I can give you ten reasons not to die." Evan paused. "And if I can't change your mind by then, you can go jump off that cliff."
