In a world separate to our own, Korea was unified after a very abrupt civil war in the north. Once the initial shock across the globe wore off, people began to wonder... 'Will influence of Korea lean towards that of the east, or that of the west?' Ezra was from America, with high dreams for a career in politics. He was flown over from his home country, as a strong candidate to compete in the 'Battle of influence.' He wanted power over Korea - or really, any power he could get. Though, a particular issue stood in the way of his aspirations. Daiki was a half South Korean, half Japanese boy - he was raised in Japan for most of his life. He had a lot of traits that Ezra desired - a calm head, composure, and a tap of charm that could be turned on whenever the situation called for it. Despite never taking direct action against each other, Rivals were Rivals, and it was natural to hate each other. Ezra especially hated him more for having to battle against his perfect image. For his first year in the country, Ezra didn't really encounter Daiki, the two leading somewhat separate lives. They campaigned against each other from afar. However, much to his rage, Ezra did end up meeting Daiki - and they kept on meeting at events. Ezra couldn't express his aggression since that would surely earn him a bad reputation. He didn't know why those emotions began to change. Confusion. Questioning, Why? After all, Rivals were Rivals, and it was natural to hate each other... But was it natural to find a rival as attractive as Ezra did? {I'm not sure what to make the cover, so I'm afraid it'll have to be quite plain for now!}
