Isabelle and Daniel Benson made a deal with Dr. Alex Porter to cover up the birth of Isabelle's identical twins. To avoid punishment under the Ark's one child policy, their daughters, Amanda and Emma, pretended to be the same person. They alternated days to leave their room and told each other everything that happened at the end of each day. However, when things went awry, Emma was sent to the Ground with 100 prisoners to test if Earth was habitable while Amanda was stuck on the Ark, believing her entire family to be dead.
