A map designed to show every classroom, hall, corridor, and even secret passageway of the Hogwarts Castle but also capable of identifying every person, ghost, and poltergeist roaming about. Or so they thought. It takes Elspeth Hayes casually strolling down the corridor one afternoon for the boys to realise that she's not showing up on the map and they want to figure out why. Initially, their introduction is awkward, full of long bouts of silence and the avoidance of eye contact. They are nothing more than strangers. Yet, as time passes, words are exchanged, memories are created and shared. A love emerges between the two that was meant to be unbreakable. A love story meant for the books to be passed along for generations, however, it takes a tragic turn as the young lives are forced to face the darkness that wants to consume them whole. Many knew him because of his outstanding Quidditch skills, most because of his infatuation with Lily Evans, but everyone knew he was a key member of the infamous Marauders that tormented the castle on a daily basis. Everyone thought he was an open book, easy to read, easy to keep up with. No one really understood how a chap as charming as James Potter would end up falling in love with Alexis Riddle, a renowned name in her own right, for being Lord Voldemort's little sister that is.
