It was the end of Summer. The kids are now heading back home from another summer at Camp. Good, right? They get to see their parents, go back to school and see other friends, have better food . . . Max didn't want that. He didn't want to go back home, especially after a certain phone call. But what could he do? Nothing. So he ends up leaving, telling David a last goodbye. David was always suspicious of Max's home life, but, by the time he wanted to do something, it was too late. Max went home. All David could do was hope that he'll see Max next summer. But, what happens when a certain boy shows up at his door?

Max has lived a hard life, and can't take any more abuse, so when camp is close to its end, David got rather suspicious that something might be going on with max. Max refuses to tell David, and in doing so goes back with his abusive family. Max then decides to leave his family after a painful beating he had received. He then runs away to find David. Its Max's first day of camp and has maybe just huge crush on david but then things go south and when David suggests that Max can move with him Max gets just a little more than just a new dad but two new ones instead and you can probably guess who it could be
