For centuries people have believed in gods for certain things. They aren't perfect with their skills, so, they learn at a very young age. High school for Gods, goddess, and other creatures from that realm. Dipper and Mabel were transferred to Gravity Falls to go to the school there. Stan and Ford were taking care of the two. Dipper God of the Stars, while Mabel goddess of everything or mainly the emotion of joy/happiness. Bill is the God of the Sun and his brother is the God of the Moon.
