8th grade football player Garrett has a crush on 8th grade cheerleader Caroline Davis. When he finds out his sister Summer is a cheerleader too he asks her what to get Caroline for Valentine's day. When he is told Caroline wants the team to win the championship Garrett tries harder to win then ever. After he wins he asks Caroline to go out with him. When she says yes he is ecstatic.

I don't think that this story needs a description, other then my teacher only read the first paragraph and asked me if I based it off of one of Stephen King's books. I said no. The Shadowy Figure is about a family that had been visited by a shadowy figure. Brice tries to keep his little brother safe without either of them being taken by the shadow. Zach was able to get to safety but when he looked back he saw that Brice was being taken by the shadow. About 10 years later Zach and his five year old sister Zoey run into the figure again and their parents had already been taken by the shadow. They run through the woods and get to safety. What will happen to the kids?
