She kept it a secret. However, after her graduation everyone becomes curious on where Riley goes every full moon, so they follow her and see her turn into a wolf. Cory and Topanga kick her out, appalled with her for triggering her werewolf curse. She packs all her things and leaves. Later on, she realizes since she's a werewolf, she's a part of a pack. A family. So she searches for them. She finds out a professor in Mystic Falls can help her and she goes to see him and there she Meets The Originals.
