Jacqueline Bailey is a starry-eyed geek longing for a storybook romance. Instead, she settles for Carter Camila (a safe option, seeing as attractive high school guys always intimidated her). After her first year at Southwark University, Jack grows more mature and questions her relationship with her high school sweetheart. That's when the mysterious Griffin Chang nearly hits her with his motorcycle. Crass, isolated, and apathetic, Griffin was the last person Jack expected to fall for. However, after many laborious partner assignments, some drunken nights, and getting lost in the woods, Griffin's mask disappears and Jack learns his deepest secrets, some of which could put her life in danger. Trigger Warnings: This book will contain light-hearted and funny scenes, but it will go to dark places later. Please do not read if you have personal problems or are triggered by depression and other mental health issues, suicide, substance abuse, and gun violence (I'll expand more on that in the first part). Don't let this warning scare you too much, though. For the most part, this story is fun and appropriate, but it wouldn't be accurate to real life if I didn't include heavy subjects.
