Danny's always been aware he was adopted, it's kinda hard not to know when you were taken in when you were nine after a traumatizing event. He's been a little preoccupied to attempt to find his brother though. From grief to straight up dying, Danny just hasn't had the time. Well now that he's doing better he wants to find his younger brother, Dick. Basically, me taking that brothers au that exists and filling plot holes and making it unique. Trans!Danny bc I like the headcanon. It's not a prominent feature but it's there. Takes place after the series, but Phantom Planet doesn't exist. (Phantom Planet suuuuucked). Pre-series for Young Justice for the first few chapters. It basically devolves into oneshots after the first parts and most of the chapters are pretty short bc I don't actually have a solid plot yet.... Please correct me if I do anything wrong!!! After the Flying Graysons fell, the three youngest were separated. The oldest was adopted by a family that lived in Amity Park, the other two were both supposed to be adopted by Bruce Wayne, however the youngest was kidnapped before they could be picked up by Bruce. Five years later, they find themselves encountering each other again, except they somehow gained another sibling?

When Danny is captured by the GIW and his alter ego is revealed, the GIW discover that the reason Danny survived the portal accident and became a half ghost (instead of outright dying) was because of an anomaly in his DNA. When they attempt to replicate the accident on the other Fentons, it's revealed that Danny and his family aren't blood related. The GIW's new objective is to find Danny's remaining biological family. Danny never told others he had a brother or a twin for that matter. He was happy with Jazz and his friends in Amity Park, despite his adoptive parents' slightly neglectful manner from working on their portal in the basement.
