One-shots where the boys are sick and look after each other

Everyone knows the story about how Ashton Irwin used to cut before his band mates befriended him and helped him to stop, right? Well, what happens when he starts to fall again, but this time no one is there to catch him? Can he get better on his own or will he just fall deeper than before?

Ashton is okay right now. He's always like this after a bad bout. He starts off saying that the world is his oyster and he loves everyone, but when the energy and fresh success fades, so does he. Luke knows. He knows about all of Ashton's problems. He knows about the time Ashton was bullied nearly to the brink, the family deaths and friend losses, and the ups and downs, the latter of which seem to be more common lately. It's been so easy lately for Ashton to slip after a joke gone wrong, or a jab on Twitter. Ashton always says he's sorry, repeating it again and again if only to convince himself. Luke knows he's sorry, knows that he can't help it. And he'll sit by the bathtub for hours, holding Ashton, to make sure that he knows someone loves him. None of the other boys know. Ashton couldn't bring himself to tell them and face their disapproving stares too, and he wouldn't let Luke tell them, so he's stuck in this half state of secrecy and confession to Luke. Ashton hasn't gone too far yet, not far enough that Luke can't patch him up with gauze, antibiotics, and a long hug. But someday, someday, Luke knows Ashton won't be able to take it anymore, and Ashton will die. And Luke will be all alone.

My writing style has changed a lot since I first started the original sickfic book back in 2018. I thought it was time to comb through and "reimagine" my old works. I'm taking it and giving it a new life, a complete redo. This IS a rewrite. There will be a lot more to read and major differences. Here are some of the things I will be changing: • The storylines will be similar, but there will be details that I will be adding and/or taking away. • The themes will be much darker. There will be talks/mentions/actions of drug use, suicide attempts, toxic relationships... etc. • I will not be including ANs in between the chapters. I have always found it annoying when other authors do that, yet I found myself doing the same. Going through the table of contents in my other book was a total nightmare! There was/is way too many parts and, as mentioned before, ANs. • Part wise, I will be condensing them down. My goal is to go from 6 (7 for one of them), down to 3 parts for each storyline. The chapters themselves will be a lot longer than before. Keep in mind, they will consist of 2-3 parts from the other book. • More description and details is something I will be working on as well. • This book may or may not include smut. (Not so much a change) • ANs will be at the beginning and/or end of the part. Yes, they will still be a thing. (As far as I can think of that's all, but you never know there may be more! Haha) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ All in all, I'm going to make this a better version of the original book. Don't fret! I will be keeping the old one!
