Sure, cheesy romance film esque, but he was happy. it took so long to find it after the breakup. After breaking up with Alexander, John was fine. He was free from a clingy and sometimes idiotic boyfriend. But when he begins to see Alexander going out and falling in love with Thomas Jefferson of all people, it breaks his heart. He realizes too late, that he let the love of his life slip through his fingers. He grows depressed, he lost his only friends and his love. He was truly alone.
