It's horrible to don a mask. Most wear some kind of mask in their life--and for the most part, they're never of the best quality. All they cause is useless self-destruction and pain, but the good thing about them is that they can hide some ugly part of you that you don't want to show to the world. They're always a step down from what you think they'd be, always a notch lower than expectations, and always a lie to hide from the reality around us. ...of course, there are those that can see through those masks too, and it's supposed that Arceus created these humans to keep the world's sanity. That's all Avis wishes for, because it's nearly impossible to find any semblance of peace in this midst of war and chaos. To him, that's staying alone; staying out of others' business, and for the first seventeen years of his life, he's done that pretty well. § Avis can only hide in the shadow of his twin brother's strength, stranded in a country ravaged by war and destruction--and he tries to live his life in the darkness peacefully. He doesn't need to be noticed by everyone. The illusion of a functional, ideal life, however, is shattered when his family's balance is destroyed, and he thus dons his first mask. § For all his life, Avis had been taught that disaster was bad. For the most part, he's believed that much--he only needs to think of ungraceful piles of debris and blood-caked grounds to be convinced of that. At eighteen, he finds himself starting to doubt it--just a little. He can hate disaster for tearing his life to pieces, but he can't quite hate it for granting him something better than a miracle. § Tonight, these children don their masks.

*COMPLETE* When the Kanto region comes under attack, the Royal family, The Ketchum's, are taken Prisoner. The heir to the throne, Ash Ketchum is the only one to escape with his Pikachu and Greninja. Ash flees the region and arrives in Kalos, only to find it under attack as well. The Kalos regions Royal family, the Yvonne's, have also been taken prisoner. Serena Yvonne has also miraculously escaped capture with her Braixen and Sylveon. When the Prince from Kanto, and the Princess from Kalos, cross paths, what will they do to save their families, and their regions from tyrannical rule?

This is an Ash betrayed story it is my first so please don't judge and this will not be like the rest of the stories of ash being betrayed it will be different and a little bit alike so if you don't like it then you should leave. Ash was betrayed by his friends when a guy came to pallet town and beat him at a battle with ease and his friends thought he was weak to see him loose so easily. Not knowing who the man was Ash ran away saddened that his friends betrayed him even though if it wasn't for him they would all have died a million times. While he ran away he catched new pokemon's and trained to get stronger to beat the man that beat him many years ago. When he went back to Kalos he found out that the man that beat him became the champion of the Kalos region and was training all of Ashe's old friends. Shocked at what happens he tries to battle him but was denied the man saying that he could only battle him in the leagues so Ash trained for 2 more years until he could fight the man that ruined his life.He was still the same Ash only now he is stronger and really is working harder than before to become the best of the best. Sorry if it was bad this is my first time doing this. Hope you like that summary and hope that you read this story.
