Kaiyo always lived his life peacefully hidden away in the Southern Water Tribe. He had originally went out with Katara and Sokka's father to fight in the war, but was sent back due to the village needing him. Although he may be a skilled warrior, with the reappearance of the Avatar, the Fire Nation is now in hot pursuit and Kaiyo must work with the gang to help Aang reach his full potential.
