The war with the Quincy is finally over, and Ichigo again stands victorious. However, a new enemy stirs from within the depths of the Soul Society. A deep political conspiracy threatens to change the worlds in a way our protagonists could never have imagined, while a mysterious man comes to interfere with Ichigo's fate. And in the middle of this confusion, Ichigo is given a direct order: He must marry his friend and comrade Rukia Kuchiki. When it comes to writing fan fictions, I feel that it should be done for at least one of four reasons: 1. You love the source material and are paying homage to it, 2. There is something that you wish to explore even further within the canon, usually a "what if" question, 3. You have an original story that you want to push forward, and finally 4. There is something you perceive to be wrong with the story and you are correcting it. For me, writing this story hits all four points. I will add notes as the story progresses to explain myself where necessary. I hope you enjoy!

After regaining his Soul Reaper powers, Ichigo Kurosaki has re-assumed his position as substitute Soul Reaper. As a result, he can now see and spend more time with Rukia again, a lieutenant of the Thirteen Court Guard Squads. Along the lines, Ichigo finds that his feelings for the raven-haired Soul Reaper are reaching beyond friendship. However, things take an unexpected turn. When Ichigo and Rukia are sent on a mission to investigate a strange spiritual pressure that appeared, two strange newcomers arrive on the scene, claiming that they know all about what's going on. The simple recon mission soon turns into a matter of life and death, the determining factor of impending chaos.

My story continues after the Quincy Arc (Manga). I wouldn't count on Kubo-sensei ending it with a bang of romance between Ichigo and Rukia, but who know what could happen right? There are also ONE SHOT stories. DISCLAIMER: I don't own Bleach.
