An awkward situation in the gym leads TJ to contemplate his feelings for Cyrus. TJ knows that Cyrus won't reciprocate what he feels, but he's completely okay with that. If only TJ opened his eyes to what's right in front of him. Maybe then, he wouldn't be so doubtful.

"Cyrus Goodman and TJ Kippen weren't desperate by any means, they just happened to find comfort in old, run-down motels where people wouldn't dare come looking for them. There was no particular reason for this - or so they would tell you. Faded motels just had a certain charm about them, Cyrus would say with one of his naturally bright smiles." ~ The fall of 2006 finds TJ and Cyrus on the run from the law, seeking the highs associated with risk wherever they can and maybe even learning a thing or two about love and the inevitability of fate. An unlikely friendship forms between them, only for pesky feelings to become involved.

"You're not moving," he breathed out, not even bothering to hide his glances down at TJ's lips. The other boy noticed this, smiling slightly and bringing a hand up to cup the side of Cyrus' face. in middle school, tj kippen was a known bully. that is, until he started hanging out with cyrus goodman.

CYRUS GOODMAN was tired of unrequited love, and it seemed like he would be the only Junior at Grant that would be stuck without a date. However bad he though third wheeling was, seventh was much, much worse. TJ KIPPEN had been pining after his best friend for months, but (with the exception of his sister,) he was the only one who knew. If only he could be honest about his feelings without fearing judgement. The two boys were perfect for each other, yet they were the only ones who didn't see it.
