A girl Alice (you) got stuck in a train crash and was taken by hydra. She was trained to become the next killing machine, alongside the mysterious Sgt. Barnes. She's ready to fight, but will Bucky protecting her be enough to keep her safe? Disclaimer: I wrote this several years ago and my writing style has evolved. I understand that the story is written in a child-like manner.

Soldier 259 is an elite Hydra Super Soldier. She is the competition to the famous Winter Soldier. They've only met once and it was a disaster for Hydra. Now that The Winter Soldier has run away from Hydra, the members are debating whether or not they should risk it and make her go after him. They decide to take the risk and send her and her crew after The Winter Soldier. On her hunt for the famous assassin Soldier 259 discovers stuff about herself that Hydra has kept secret from her, stuff about her mother. Soldier 259 also starts to remember her past life before Hydra, a past life that she is desperate to remember.

Bucky is gone, vanished, liked a shadow thrown by a passing cloud. And Amelia is left recovering from her recent injuries, the injuires she earned as a result of helping Bucky save his best friend, and now she's left questing the very foundations of their relationship. Why would he leave? Did he use her? Did he ever love her in the first place? However, other matters rise to the surface as the Avengers receive political pressure to join a new system of accountability which causes the team to fall apart. And after finding out that Bucky is apparently involved in another terrorist attack, will their relationship ever be the same? Which side will she take during this new found civil war?

But the Hydra are everywhere, and falling in love with an assassin is not the most constructive thing to do, but is it really her choice to choose who she falls in love with? This story includes slight smut and mentions of rape and abuse (don't worry, the abusers and perpetrators get punished accordingly).
