L'Apocalisse di Giovanni, è l'ultimo del Nuovo Testamento ed è la sola Apocalisse presente nel canone della bibbia, di cui costituisce uno dei testi più controversi e difficili da interpretare. L'Apocalisse appartiene al gruppo di scritti neotestamentari noto come "letteratura giovannea", in quanto scritta, se non dallo stesso apostolo, nei circoli che a lui e al suo insegnamento facevano riferimento.

La parola "assassino", è stata vittima di molti abusi linguistici. Il suo vero significato è stato celato sotto i sedimenti di menzogne e maschere, in quanto originariamente stava ad indicare coloro che sono ai margini della società. Ma in fondo, proprio l'importanza del comando "non uccidere", ci assicura che discendiamo da una lunga serie generazionale di assassini, i quali avevano nel sangue, come forse ancora abbiamo noi stessi, il piacere di uccidere. Una catena di accaduti che presteranno una spalla di supporto all'inferno, per riuscire a prendere il sopravvento su quei famosissimi, gloriosi anni '60.
