Lapis, an orphan, finds that she can no longer stand the life she's been living. When she steps out of the orphanage and is greeted by the smell of fresh air,-as fresh as Brooklyn can get, anyway-everything changes for her. Now everything isn't so safe. Peridot has been living on the street for two years. Peridot lives alone in Sauðárkrókur, Iceland. A particularly rough snowstorm knocks out the signal for her TV, interrupting the new episode of Camp Pining Hearts. Frustrated, she heads outside to try and knock some sense into her busted antennae. But when she rounds the corner of her domicile, an unexpected visitor lays face down in the snow.

Lapis Lazuli is constantly annoyed by her childish cheery neighbor, Peridot, until an accident happens that puts Peridot in a wheel chair. She decides to finally do something good in her life, and takes the position as her caretaker. Might have a little bit of cussing, and maybe some sexual themes (most likely no smut though) later on, I don't know.

Lapis Lazuli and Peridot are both honorary Crystal Gems after countless missions and numerous victories. Both are starting to fall for each other, and life couldn't get any better. However, one day Lapis comes across a strange substance leaking out of a corrupted gem. Soon, she becomes more on edge, her emotions flip on a dime, and she claims to see a strange figure that no one else can. Now, Lapis and Peridot must work together to figure out what is wrong with Lapis, before something even worse happens
