Toby has just turned 14, and he's a big fan of Sonic the Hedgehog. However, he wasn't able to get Mania for his birthday, so he went on the hunt for some bootlegs instead. And luckily, he found one! Sonic Zipped was a 'one-copy-created' bootleg Sonic game he found after searching online, and out of curiosity, he decided to click download. Toby was quite surprised to see a sentient AI resembling Sonic come to life in his very own computer. The AI claims to go by Zip, and wants to befriend the young Toby and start a lifelong friendship!
