The beeping of the machines I was linked to only increased my state of panic, as a nurse put an oxygen mask over my mouth and nose. It was hard for me to breathe at that point, as I didn't understand what was happening to me. I tried my best to identify the faces around me, but I didn't recognize any, and it only made me more nervous as seconds went by. I wasn't able to stay still, as my whole body was shaking with fear. Electricity was coursing through every single nerve of my body. "Page Dr. Moseley!" one of the nurse that injected me Lorazepam in my IV exclaimed. "Ma'am, you're at the hospital, we've got you," she told me, looking down at me. I felt the substance take effect within a minute, and soon it was easier for me to breathe. I looked at the three nurses around me, and they all looked at me as if I was some kind of ghost. The one on my right asked her colleague to call my relatives, and a rush of relief invaded me at the mention of my family. As she was about to leave the room, I grabbed her hand, not wanting to be alone anymore. I looked at her with tears filled eyes, unable to speak at that point. She gave me a small smile, and patted the back of my hand to give me comfort. "Alright, I'll stay with you," she reassured, as I breathed in and out the oxygen mask on my face. "Your family should be here soon, you won't be alone." I nodded slowly, as tears fell from my eyes. I wasn't able to speak a word, because I was too scared that if I did, I would compromise my return to the real world. I didn't know for sure that any of this was real, if I was actually back from this horrible world I was stuck in. When the door of the room opened, a doctor came in, looking down at what I understood was my chart. He looked from the paper to me, and a smile appeared on his face. "Welcome back," he greeted, as he approached my bed.

"He knows just what it does when he's holding me tight and he calls me moonlight too..." As a little girl, I watched him light up the Apollo stage with his brothers, and as an adult I watched him light up every room he walked into. I had no idea that inside him was a darkness and sadness that stemmed from his childhood and plagued him as an adult. I had no idea the amount of loneliness he had been trapped in until I came along. I wanted to understand him in a world where he was so misunderstood. I fell in love with him when I saw him up on that Apollo stage, and I fall in love with him every time he's near. How could I get so lucky? To love the man, the mystery, that is Michael Jackson, and have him love me back. I'm his moonlight, bringing him out of his darkest days and being the only constant in the madness.

"We kissed each other until we were too tired to keep going. I could still feel him holding back. All I could do was hope the walls would fall and that I could have all of him again, but I was always leaving and he was tired of watching me walk away, even though he wouldn't admit it. We both knew that I couldn't stay and that he couldn't come with me, but then again, he wouldn't admit it." June Wellington. This is the name of the person to whom belong those thoughts. One day, she happened to meet one of the greatest performer this planet's ever known: the superstar, Michael Jackson. She didn't know she'd be able to meet him one day, but what she surely didn't expect was the fact that he'd change her life. Forever. _________________ A/N: I started writing this story back when I was 15, it's the first book I've ever written. It holds a special place in my heart, even though it makes me cringe when I read it again, whether it is because of the grammar mistakes you'll find in there, or the plot. If you're looking for a better written book, check my other one, "Collide". I hope you'll enjoy it, though!
