This is the first chapter of a story idea I've been kinda kicking around for some time. I wrote this almost 10 months ago, and the plot itself isn't yet worked out, but the idea was there and when I started writing, the chapter just sorta flowed. I'm posting it more to get an idea of reader response to it than anything else. If people seem to like it, I'll work on figuring out the plot and setting it up to be wrriten after I get LMWR finished. It will most definitely be a Jonerys fic, despite Dany being betrothed to Robb in the beginning.

Carrying on from the end of season 7 this is purely for my own entertainment of what I What to happen in season 8 although we know full well this is game of thrones and it won't happen.

My version of how season 8 should continue. Dany and Jon arrive in Winterfell. Jon gets the warm welcome of the North, but will Daenerys get only a cold shoulder? Winter has come, and as the army of the dead marches closer, the north will have to get over their grudges. What if it's not only the Nothernlords that hold grudges, but Jon's family too. Can Daenerys and Jon show the world that a DRAGON AND WOLF can work together? Part 2 of "Fire Melts Ice", which is my idea of how Season 8 will pan out. Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen, having just confirmed their feelings for each other, arrive back at Jon's childhood home of Winterfell. Now they have to face the coldness of the Lords and Ladies while planning the Great War that will decide the fate of everyone they love. Who will survive? And who will win the battle that the entire series has been leading up to, the Night King or the Daenerys and Jon's army?

Winter is here. Ice and Fire must unite to fight the Others for the survival of the human race. Jon and Daenerys are the prince and princess that were promised. They must be light bringers in the midst of The Battle for the Dawn.

This is my version of season 8 because as of right now I don't really like the direction season 8 is going for and I'd prefer to write my own version. Post Season 8: Jon is broken after killing his queen. Drogon brought Daenerys' body to Volantis. Things thought dead aren't so dead after all, but hanging on by a thread. Things are heating up in Westeros, and no one is safe. Bran the Broken is not in any way Bran Stark. Dragons arise Poop description but give it a try.
