The Drow had never known magic before Nelcalar, the old wizard who lived amongst them in the Ravine. Although magic exists within all things, and thusly within the Drow, the purple eyed elf people seemed incapable of using its properties, aside from imbibing from a Wellspring which grants the consumer impeccable, yet limited, foresight. When the Ravine is beset upon by outside forces wielding powerful magic, the old wizard must take on an apprentice in the form of an adolescent Drow named Wyndzareth, and instruct them in the Finer Arts, so that the odd pair may save the Ravine, and all of Drowkind, but is it really that simple? 55 years after the Humano-Ylpha Wars, with the first President of the United Humans Coalition becoming increasingly aggressive and untrusting of the population of Witches, it seems that another Great War may be brewing within all four Plateaus. Can Nelcalar, Wyndzareth, and the friends they make along the way prevent another war, or will it all end in flames with the sparking of the War with Seven Heads?
