"A middle-aged man approached in a ringmasters type suit, it was worn down to the point where the colors were faded and the fabric seemed to be holding its breath. He had shaggy dusty-brown hair and a few major wrinkles, but his best facial feature had to be the crows' feet that tilted the small corners of his eyes when he smiled. He stood in the center of an empty neighborhood, eight symmetrical houses, all evenly spread around a small circle of a street. White fence posts separated the homes and drew a long path behind. and all the way back to the other side. The man smiled, His smile was that of something wickedly joyful, he held his exhaustion in his eyes, and behind that, a form of triumph, of power. It was an evilly crooked grin, and with two taps of his silver cane, he was gone" Whelp, haha I hope you enjoyed that lil' sneak peek to the story, as well as a taste as to whats it's going to be like. I'm still at the drafting stage as well as going through chapter writes and rewrites. But all in all, I hope this story finds a place in your personal library because it already has in mine! Standing in aisle three of the local pharmacy on a random March day in 1994, high school junior Melissa Anderson has a realization. Her life is like a stick of deodorant; it is slowly disappearing, little by little, day by day. But unlike deodorant, she can't buy a new life when this one runs out. So Melissa decides that maybe it's time to step out of her comfort zone and get a little bit sweaty. The first thing she does is get a job at the local video store which leads to the idea of trying out different lives, the way you would rent videos. With the help of her best friend Tara, and her co-worker, the cute college-freshman Jason, they pick different popular teen movies for Melissa to cast herself in for three days in a row. As she signs up for dancing classes, trolls the local dojo, attends an all boys' school dance, gets detention on purpose, and does other things inspired by her favorite 80s films, Melissa explores who she is and what it means to live life as her most authentic self.

When I read various Medusa accounts, she is always portrayed as the monster, rather than the human that existed before becoming a gorgon. Medusa wasn't cursed by Athena, but blessed with great power and the ability for her to serve at high priestess to Athena. Only Medusa was given this gift and only she served Athena as an eternal high-priestess of Athena. It is Medusa's head on Athena's shield and no other priestess ever had that honor.
