--Book Two of Edge of Dawn Trilogy-- War is on the horizon for the land of the dying sun. As the moon rises in a new era, The Unnamed lays claim to the throne- and begins to rule over the lands with an iron fist. With all of the country side in ruins and the cities in shambles, Dabi and the others behold the true tragedy of war. Moving southwards, they find themselves in a sprawling metropolis of Deika City. From here, Dabi runs into a man so familiar to him but without his memories or powers- he's left in the dark. Meanwhile, Hawks continues to grow more and more bitter as the sun sets for the final time. Under the waning moon, Hawks learns that hope and love can be a very strong light through the darkness.

--Book One of Edge of Dawn Trilogy-- For a millennia, the sun rises and sets without failure- basking the world in its golden rays and granting life. In the heavens, Dabi, the god of the sun- The Wielder of Fire, grows bored. One day, he travels to the land of mortals with a small band of other bored gods. Arriving at a small village, Dabi becomes acquainted with the locals and one particularly sly traveling hunter, Hawks. There is one rule that the gods must always follow and that is to never fall in love with a mortal. Dabi quickly finds himself breaking that rule as he spends more time with Hawks. The other gods around him try to cover up his crimes but word still gets through and one day, tragedy befalls Hawks. In order to save Hawks, Dabi is faced with an ultimatum. Will he choose to sacrifice his power or will he choose his duty over his heart?

Part one of the Phoenix Rising Chronicles He curses at his superiors for even offering this job to him, didn't they know how dangerous it was to play with fire? Hawks wonders if he will be able to even pull off this whole double agent thing. Or maybe he should just buy a one way plane ticket to Hawai'i and live out the rest of his days lounging lazily on white sand beaches with a nice cold glass of mai tai.

"Tell me," Hawks' voice is like honey- smooth and almost sickly sweet, "What do you like about me the most?" Dabi can see that shit eating grin, even if he wasn't looking at the hero- the smugness dripping off of that question is nearly enough to make him drown. For a fleeting heartbeat, Dabi mulls over how it would feel to drown in a vat of honey. He concludes that it couldn't be the worst way to go.
