Eragon has traveled to the East and found a place to hatch and raise the dragons. But that isn't the only thing he has found on his journey. A completely new race has been discovered and has been given the title Angels. (I've decided to insert my magic angels from Aeria into this story, but they aren't the same characters---I assure you. This is a whole new perspective on this species.) And if raising dragon hatchlings wasn't enough, a new threat is brewing in West Alagaesia. After Princess Lumina's return to power, a twenty five year gap of peace settled throughout Alagaesia. With the new age of peace, Eragon decided that it was time again he brought out the remaining twenty dragon eggs. In result, the youngest rider in all of Alagaesia, a wild human girl by the name of Raieko Rhette Urit, became the first of her kind to bond with a dragon. Facing the most powerful man in the Lands armed with nothing but a sword and the hope that she could prevail, was not the direction Akira saw her life going in. After witnessing her family's death she had stayed away from it all, living in hiding. Yet when she discovers that her dragon is a Dragon of Legend and together they are to challenge Haiden, the ruler of the dark Lands, her life plummets into chaos. Taken in by the Academy, where young dragon riders are trained to fight, she must rise up and prove herself worthy of the name of the 'Rider of Legend'. Yet as Akira finds out, fighting for an almost hopeless cause when no one believes in you, is not easy. With all odds stacked against them, Akira and her dragon must fight for their own lives as well as try to fulfill all expectations and free the Lands from a tyrant's rule once and for all.

A new challenge appears, a new battle begins. Once again the Rider of Legend must fight to save the lands, only this time she finds herself five hundred years in the future.

500 years in the future, out of the ashes of her ancestor, a new black dragon has risen. Once again the Rider of Legend is called on upon to help and defeat this evil. Yet when her enemy comes up with the ultimate weapon she finds that even she, may not be able to stop what is about to happen. This time, riders from both the past and the future must unite and join the Rider of Legend in a battle more intense than ever before. Yet what none of them have foreseen is that things have been set into motion, things that will change everything. Nothing will ever be the same again. The beginning of the end starts here.

Something is not quite right with the Rider of Legend. Something is terribly wrong. Yet when Akira refuses to admit this she faces the danger of becoming her own worst enemy and losing everything she ever worked for. This time, the stakes are higher than ever before. This time it's not just a battle to save the Lands but a battle that will decide the Rider of Legend's ultimate fate. A fate, that no one may have seen coming or even dreamed possible. After everything Akira and Redemption has been through in the fight for peace in the Lands. Traveling back and forth throughout time between the past and the present. She finally believes that all is well and set for only good. So now her Ree and Seth can finally catch a break and just live without fear. But there is just one aspect of that no one thought about the future was just getting things set into motion to not only cause trouble for there time but to wreak havoc on the past the present and the future. Once again it is up to Akira and Ree to try and figure out what was going on when she sees not one black dragon but five. All she can do is fear all is lost. Can her will and sheer determination be enough for her and Redemption this time or is this the end of everything they have fought so hard for.
