George and Martha are incredibly kind and willing to do anything for Alex, but Alex finds it difficult to trust them. He worries that they will become angry with him and throw him out the way the rest of his foster parents did. He finds himself growing more and more depressed and angry, and nothing the Washingtons do can make him feel better. Alex finds himself desparate for acceptance, and ends up in a tumultuous friendship with none other than John Laurens, a gay boy rebelling against his homophobic parents. Will the Washingtons give up on Alex, or will Alex finally learn to trust again.

I wrote this when I was like 15 so it's awful and horribly inaccurate regarding lots of stuff and the characters are really, really annoying. If it didn't have so many reads and votes and that I would delete it. Extra context: The world knows that Stark industries has an heir. everyone knows. they just don't know who it is. This is a story about the events leading up to the reveal, the reveal, and the events following.

Alright I know everyone loves the "If Connor Murphy never died" storyline but this is my take on it and I'm honestly I'm love with it. Shawn and Jonathan, after Shawn's adoption, learn what it means to open up and trust each other. Their dynamic is unique, in that sometimes they goof off like brothers would, until Shawn gets himself in heaps of trouble and John has to set limits. 😆 Shawn and Maya, after Maya's adoption, learn they are kindred spirits with inseparable personalities. Goofy, spontaneous, and a little dangerous. They've realized how much they need each other, but they have also noticed the disorganized and sometimes reckless nature of their relationship. FYI: None of the characters or photos are mine, only the storyline.
