Percy Jackson was a hero. But even heroes can't escape cruel fate. A curse was placed upon him, a curse that no one should ever bear. Perseus has been hiding from the world for a long time. The world did not need him. So he waited. And watched. And planned. Until one day, the world did need him. And then he reappeared. He saw the rise and fall of Rome, the great Egyptian pyramids being built, and even the Revolutionary War between Great Britain and the United States. Where history was built, Perseus was there to watch it. Now, the Fates require him to reappear. Another war is brewing, and he might be a key to stopping it.
