Matches: Why We Burned Out // SHORT STORY (20 CHAPTERS) // QUICK UPDATES He lights another match and waits for it to burn down a little. "This is the perfect match. It's doing great, right? Burning and stuff. It's wonderful. But even the perfect match," he waits for the fire to consume the wood completely and disappear into ashes, "has to burn out. I think that works with people too. There's always going to be one day where things just stop functioning, and there's nothing we can do about it. And it's nobody's fault but time's. We were the perfect match. We didn't have the perfect timing." WARNING: THIS IS A VERY SAD STORY. LIKE, INSANELY SAD.

Highest Rank: #18 in ˗ˋmanuriosˊ˗ I glanced at him quickly, seeing his eyes connected in mine as he smiles. He slides his hand inside his pockets as i blushed a bit and looked away. Another few minutes, he breaks the silence. "Hey-" he said as he looked at me. "Uhh.. Hey?" "I like you-" My face turned red. "W-what?" "I said i like yo-" I stuttered. "I-i like you too! I mean.. I like everyone so.." I said with a nervous laugh. "What do you mean 'I like you too?'" My face flashed into a shade of rosy pink, "W-what? You told me that you like me so I uh.. Yeah, i like you too.." He wheezed at me, "Savannah, do you even think i'm quickly telling that to you? You just talk too fast so that's why I haven't even finished my sentence yet." I turned more red than before. And laughed nervously again. "h-ha?? Oh! Uh, sorry.. Then tell me what was it?" I asked as i looked down from blushing. "I said I like your shirt." He said as he aimed his index finger at my shirt with hawaiian patterns on it as I laughed nervously. "Ahahah! Yeah, i like yours too.." I scratched my neck as I blushed, looking away from him as he gave out a chuckle and continued to walk with his hands on his pocket. 'I'm so flippin' stupid why did I told that to him, this is so embarrasing.'
